US semiconductor sector scores record YOY growth

Global M&A is quickly rebounding from losses that stemmed from the 2020 pandemic according to a recent Bloomberg Law report.

For the US technology market, the outlook for 2021 is optimistic as the “software industry (totaling $150.4 billion) and the semiconductor industry (totaling $112.8 billion) have resulted in the technology sector seeing a 27 percent year-over-year (YOY) increase in volume,” reports Bloomberg Law.

“Notably, as the growth around chip design and development continues to dominate disruptions led by cloud computing and AI, the Semiconductors sector saw a huge volume of deals close, hitting a record-breaking 479% increase over the same period last year,” the report adds.
